DermaVir is a topically administered pDNA based therapeutic vaccine against HIV/AIDS. DermaVir completed phase II clinical trials in 1Q2010. The data show excellent safty and tolerability and immunogenicity profile. The 04 mg dose cohort was superior to others and experienced treatment efficacy in terms of statistically significant viral load decerease compared to placebo.
DermaPrep is a CE marked class I medical device for transdermal delivery of liquid formulations. DermaPrep is used in DermaVir product to deliver nanoformulated pDNA to lymph node denritic cells. The topical application technology of DermaPrep includes a crucial skin preparation step before the administration to activate epidermal Langemhans cells. The patch technology of DermaPrep provides a moise environemnt for the Langerhans cells to uptake the pDNA containing pathogen like nanomarticles.

| NanoComp formulates pDNA or protein based antigens to pathogen like nanoparticles (PLP). Topically dministered with DermaPrep PLP target epidermal Langerhans cells to deliver the antigen to lymph node dendritic cells to elicit potent antigen specific T-cell mediated immune response. Non-human primate and human Phase II safety and efficacy proof of concept data show underline the success of the mechanism of action.
